I was so excited to photograph little Wyatt in the studio last week. His parents are very spacial to me and I couldn't be more happy for them! Little Wyatt was a perfect angel, he let me pose him in many different positions and didn't make a peep the entire time. Sienna Juliane Cicero graced us with her presence at 5:43pm on December 11th. She flew into the world before I even had my camera ready. I arrived at the hospital about 15 min too late and was greeted by a very excited, emotional new daddy. Greg has always dreamed of becoming a father and for the first time in his life he can now hold his new baby girl and be proud to call himself a daddy. A beautiful mommy sat up in the hospital bed, calm,relieved and relaxed. I couldn't stop but think how perfect she looked for just giving birth. I am a proud aunt to a beautiful niece, and very thankful to have such a great brother in law who has truly embraced being a father and a new sister in law whom I respect and love so much. I have not stopped taking photos of this little angel since the day I saw her. I am posting just a few of my favorites but you know there will be more to follow! Congrats to you both on your new addition.

I know, I know I have been the worlds worst blogger for the last few months. Between the holidays, 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a cat (omg... did i really say that),life has been CRAZY. I am trying to get my life back on schedule and get ready for the start of a new year! I cant believe it is already almost 2011! Where did the year go? Well since I am soooooooo behind and I almost need a team of elves to help me get caught up, you will have to bare with me. The bond between brothers is unlike any other bond. To have a brother is to have a best friend. Someone who will always defend, protect, love unconditionally, and help guide you when you need him. The phone rang around 2:30am. It was the call that makes you spring from your bed no matter how tired you are. I raced to the hospital with hope that I would arrive in time! The clock passed slowley as a patient but eager family waited for news that would be life changing. And then it happened. At around 3:30am Grant walked out with the biggest grin I have ever seen and with so much excitement he pulled from his pocket a "PINK" newborn hat! Screams filled the waiting room.... A girl!!! As I walked in the room I saw a tired but amazingly beautiful mommy! A mommy who waited patiently for nine long months to experience a moment that will stay in her heart forever. And in her arms held a beautiful little girl. I cant even begin to tell you how happy I am for the two of you, and so thankful that I was able to be there to experience my best friend bring her first born child into the world. Remember to embrace the moment,she wont be small for long,but she will forever be your little girl! Love you friend.

Holly Cow! Check out this stud muffin! R.J. Larrieu is a senior at Orange Lutheran High School and is only a few days away from his graduation. Not only is he handsome but he is a 4.0 student and an amazing athlete. He was MVP of his cross country team, All Trinity league cross county and was voted the "Scholar Athlete" by the Orange County Register. He has been accepted to nine different schools and has decided to pursue his collegiate dreams at LMU where he will run cross country on scholarship for the Lions. What an amazing honor. Do you remember the days you sat around with your closest girlfriends and talked about marriage and boys? Who would be the first to have a baby and how your life was going to be? She happens to be a twin, and the three of us were inseparable. Oh the memories we have made over the past 15 years. Wow that makes me feel old! I could not think of amazing mothers without thinking of my sister, Lisa. She became a mom for the first time over 11 years ago to Garrett. Over the next several years, she gave birth to Hannah, age 9, Rachel, age 8, Sarah, age 6 and Carter, age 2. As a mother of 5, Lisa devoted her life to her kids. She quit her job in Corporate America when Garrett was only 1 year old. She now has the most important job of raising her children. She, and her husband of 15 years, decided to move their brood to Colorado 3 years ago where the air is crisp and clean, and a large 3,500 square foot home could accommodate their financial goals.

She is the most organic person I know. She obtains the family's vegetables from locally grown farms. Heaps of organically grown potatoes, onions, and squash are placed in a burlap sac and delivered to the family's front door. Milk from the local dairy farm is left on the doorstep in old fashioned containers. She mills her own wheat to make the best tasting and healthiest 100% whole wheat bread to give to her children to eat. All the kids like white bread, but little do they know how healthful the whole wheat bread is to their little bodies now and will be in the future.

She teaches the Bradley Method of giving birth- using breathing techniques and guided imagery to have a safe and healthy drug-free delivery. She is a yoga instructor, and the kids know how to do yoga as well. She has taught them sign language, a skill thought to encourage communication in young children. She home schools the oldest 4, but Carter, the youngest, can tell you his numbers and letters. She is an inspiration to all mothers and an inspiration to me.

This is exactly how I felt when they handed my son to me just seconds after he was born. You make eye contact for the first time and it has to be one of the best moments in your entire life. It is a moment that stays with you forever, no matter how many babies you have its still perfection at its best. On the morning of April 8th our family welcomed into the world our third child, Anthony Vincent Cicero. He is perfect, breath taking and stole my heart from the moment I saw him. I am so excitd to finally be able to announce his arrival and welcome him into out family! 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 crazy parents, but that is life and I am thankful for every second that I have been blessed with. Amazing Mothers

In honor of mother’s day I will be running a contest from now until the end of April. I want to hear about all the amazing mothers out there and why you think your pick should be chosen to win a very special Mother’s Day gift. Being a mom to three young children I know first hand how rewarding the role of mom can be, I also know how crazy life gets as well. Moms are the key that holds the family together, they wear many hats and are never paid for all the jobs they have. This little cutie just celebrated her first birthday! She was so much fun to photograph, filled with smiles an curiosity I can only imagine how much joy she brings to the family! We ventured out today into a field covered with the most beautiful purple flowers. It is so hard to find locations like this in Orange County so when you do its like winning the lottery! What a beautiful family. This is one of Savanah's friends from dance class. They had asked me to do some family photos for them but little did I know how photogenic this entire family would be. I could hardly put my camera down, and had such a blast editing them. OK so I know I put the carriage before the horse when it comes to posting things in order but I have been so behind on updating my blog and I had to post baby Lyla ASAP for Mom and Dad. So know that I am too big to go any where I am trying to get everything updated and posted! I have to introduce you to the beautiful Mommy that created the most recent newborn on the blog! This beautiful mommy is who my kids call Auntie Lexi. She gives pregnancy a whole new meaning when you see what her bod looked like just weeks before she gave birth. Its truly not fair, I have gained enough weight to match a small herd of elephants and then you have to hang out with someone like her who looks like she might have just over ate at dinner! She was a beautiful mommy to be and all her hard work in the last nine months has paid off. Her new baby girl is soooooooo cute! Congrats Mama!

So since I have been nesting to get everything ready for the new arrival. I decided to do some re-decorating. I take so many photos of my kids but if you were to venture into my home you would never know. I should be ashamed of myself!!! So I started with Savanah's room. Her room has a shabby chic feel so I wanted to do some light and airy photos of her having fun with the camera. I decided to print these in 20x20 squares for above her bed! I love the way these turned out!

Well for the last nine months my family has been awaiting the arrival of my brother's first child. This has been such an exciting time because Lexi and I found out we were pregnant around the same time. We both shocked my parents with the news of two more grand babies. This puts their current count at 5 grand kids soon to be 6 in a few days. What an honor for them!!! Although we will all be fighting for babysitting time our family continues to grow! Brad and Lexi welcomed Miss Lyla James into the world Friday March 12th. She flew into this world a few days early and with little notice. She was ready to make her first appearance and no one was going to stop her. I have always wondered what my brother would be like as a father, the first newborn he held was his own and in a moments time this little angel has stolen his heart forever. So here is to you big brother, just remember that time passes so fast, soon you will be dropping her off at kindergarten and next walking her down the aisle. So for now live in the moment, hold her tight, rock her softly in just a few months when she says the word Daddy for the first time you will know life has forever changed for the better. I am so proud of you and your new family!

They did it!!!!! Matt and Alison tied the knot and what a beautiful day it was. The site was breath taking and perfect down to every last small detail. A beautiful bride waited behind closed doors filled with excitement and anticipation. And when it came time to open the doors eyes filled with tears but Matt's eyes stayed fixated on his stunning bride. With a deep breath and the strong arm of her father Alison made the walk down the asle with ease and confidence. The ceremony was perfect which led into a perfect reception filled with lots of dancing, friends, family and two newly weds ready to embark on their new life together. I recently returned from one of my favorite places to visit. While being there for 5 days I did a few photo shoots at this amazing abandoned barn. It had endless possibilities for photography and if my kids would have let me I would have made them stay for hours. Unfortunately they kinda call the shots on how much time they are willing to give behind the camera. When your mom is a photographer you have no choice but to take millions of photos! I took my daughter out the other day to help a fellow photog get familiar with her camera. It was just a quick shoot and mostly for fun but I loved these shots and couldn't help but share. I know I am the Mommy but I cant get enough if this little girl. She is growing so fast, and although she is only four she thinks she is 24! She makes me laugh and holds the key to her fathers heart. They always say there is no greater love than a Daddy and his daughter and I agree 100%. There is no doubt she loves me but when she sees her Daddy her face lights up, she gets giddy and wraps her arms around him as if he is the only man she will ever need. I hope it stays that way!! So today I post this for her Daddy, I hope you know you have someone who thinks your her hero!

Yes its getting closer, Christmas is just around the corner and if your like me your already racking your brain. So a few days ago I took my little ones out for a day of happy shooting, except it wasn't so happy. Why is it that my own kids who are forced to pose all the time give me the most trouble. After yelling and looking like a crazy mom with a camera I managed to get a few that I loved. So if your reading this remember that pre season has begun!!! On September 12th these two exchanged vows in front of all their family and friends. The day started off at the hotel where Jennifer and her bridesmaids got dressed. The moment was calm and relaxed. A stunning bride prepared herself to see the man of her dreams. I left for the church where I had the chance to see Ralph before the big moment. He was a little anxious but ready to see his bride. A beautiful ceremony was followed by a perfect reception. One of my favorite moments at the reception was when the bride shared a dance with her grandfather. It was priceless and touching to say the least.I am so happy for you both and look forward to hearing your reaction on the sneak peak!

My heart melted when I walked through the doors and met these two little angels. Alexandra Catherine and Olivia Belle are identical twins. They were born on time and weighed just around 6 pounds each. Their mommy and daddy told me that the twin thing was a total shock,they had gone in for a normal ultrasound and came out expecting twins. So I am sure life has changed drastically for the Awbrey family. I got to interact with the family while I was there and I have to say these new parents were so calm you could tell it has come naturally to them! I met this couple through a friend of a friend. Alison works for an amazing interior design studio called Chartruse and we got connected somehow and hit it off. Shortly after we met they asked me to photograph their wedding and of course I said yes. When we met down in Laguna to do their engagement photos, I had the chance to see the two of them interact. Their connection is off the charts, and are both so loving towards one another. The best part about them is they aren't afraid to be silly and laugh at each other. That's what makes for a long marriage. I didn't have to give much direction to the two of them because their own interaction was perfect for my camera. Here comes the Bride!!

Cesar and Debra tied the knot on July 25th. I spent some time with Debra before the wedding,she was calm and very excited. Fully ready for the journey she and Ceaser were about to embark on. In the other wing of the church awaited a handsome groom his two groomsmen and a very proud father. They were sitting patiently waiting for the ceremony to start just being boys but I could see the anticipation on there faces. The ceremony was perfect filled with family tradition and perfectly spoken vows. A kiss that could say a thousand words had every guest in the church on their feet. The reception was held at Green River Golf course. I cant help but remember one perfect moment when Ceaser shared a dance with his two beautiful children. I had tears as did many who were watching. A night filled with dancing and a room filled with love... who could ask for more.
